Biegnij Warszawo

We did it for children !

On September 30th, 2023, the CFE Team completed Biegnij Warszawo - a 10 km run in the center of Warsaw. With our start, we supported the Foundation of Friens of Children's Hospitals in Warsaw, because we believe that every child deserves access to the best medical care.
We organized a fundraiser to collect money for specialist equipment to secure head stabilization during neurosurgical procedures.

For some of us it was the first start in a 10 km running event and already so successful !
It was a great fun and super positive experience that encouraged us to reach even higher.

The first edition of the Warmest Ride - a charity bike ride around Warsaw that we organized with our partners: Soudal Polska, Majaland Warszawa and Momentum Capital BV - was a great success!

Together, we gave collected 471 ,555 PLN to support foundations: VeloAktiv, ZOMA Team and Fundacja Rafala Wilka "Sport jest jeden". We are proud that through our sports efforts we could support their great everyday work and activity.

The 12th JLL Charity Beach Volleybal Tournament

BPI Real Estate and CFE joined forces for a good cause during the 12th JLL Charity Beach Volleybal Tournament, in order to support the construction of the Ronald McDonald House at the Children's Memorial Health Institute. Emotions and commitment were huge, and our team finished the tournament in the 1/8 finals. Helping through sport is what we like the most, so we are already waiting for the next JLL Tournament!

Active Heroes - mission completed!

This time BPI Real Estate, VMA and CFE joined their forces for a good cause! During 6 weeks in May and June, by covering kilometers and collecting points in the sports challenge, we managed to raise 35,000 PLN for charity. Behind us over 8,000 km on foot, over 28,000 km on wheels and almost 10,000 sports activities! And for some, cycling to work turned out to be more enjoyable than driving!

This year's challenge strongly promoted teamwork and team spirit, which is why the 3 winning teams could choose the charity organizations/beneficiaries we supported.
At the end, the best participants and teams were awarded, but we all benefited: the shape for the summer was done and healthy habits were fixed!

Together We Go Green

The CFE motto, well known to our friends is: "Together We Go Green". We want to build better future with the youngest, supporting both team spirit, healthy lifestyle and improving skills. All these CFE goals are also close to the WBS Academy, which in the spirit of sport rivalry supports, coaches and educates young generations by developing in their passion for football. We support this actions with all our hearts, knowing that joint work and combined forces will give even better results. The WBS Academy, like CFE, is a young, professional, dynamically growing organization. So we have a lot in common. We work together, we are ambitious, we speak with one voice - and this is the best recipe for success!

In CFE we know that taking care of good physical condition can have a big impact on human's health. "Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development."

In the primary school in Boczów, on November 9, 2017, a modern computer room donated by the companies associated with the Majaland theme park (CFE, Plopsa, Momentum) was handed over for use. CFE, Plopsa and Momentum donated 27 portable computers, multimedia board, printers and TV sets.

Now, the devices are used not only in computer science lessons, but also enables conducting classes in an interactive form. The project enables students to find and transfer information faster; it also allows equal and common access to computers and the Internet.

At CFE, we know how important it is to allow equal access to education for all students.

"Education empowers people everywhere to live more healthy and sustainable lives."

CFE Active Challenge

CFE Active Challenge began at the beginning of May. The idea behind the action is mutual motivation to lead a healthy lifestyle. We set goals, compete between teams, support a good cause and have fun! The action is amazing, and the number of participants is a positive surprise - almost 70% of CFE employees participate in the challenge! The assumed goal, which was to collect 15,000 PLN for charity, was achieved just 3 weeks after the start of the two-month competition.

Physical activity and sport are key elements of a healthy lifestyle and well-being. They reduce the risk of many diseases. They support reproductive health and other health issues.

The pro-eco project of saving bees

In CFE, we protect the environment in many possible ways. Since last year, we participate in the pro-eco project of saving bees. Together with an experienced beekeeper, CFE takes care of the apiary on the roof of the Greenwings office building (CFE's head office). Now we are waiting for the first harvest of honey.

It is estimated that of around 470 bee species in Poland,a bout half are threatened with extinction? Meanwhile, these insects are simply necessary for human survival. Dying bees means lower yields and reduced food production. Establishing urban apiaries is therefore a trend that allows cities to develop more sustainably. This is one of the best strategies for rebuilding the population of thoses insects.

We resigned from plastic bottles

We build awareness! as part of our activities, we resigned from plastic bottles in favor of filtered tap water. We do not use plastic dishes and separate waste into fractions. Glass cups and other dishes are washed in the dishwasher to ensure proper hygiene standards.

Health and Safety Week

In CFE safety is a priority. To build awareness of our employees, we regularly organize trainings in the area of health and safety at work - not only during the Health and Safety Week.

We have also created and introduced the Karolina Safety System application for everyday use. Thanks to this application, we have improved internal controls related to the safety of the employees on the construction site.

Karolina allows anyone who notices a non-compliance or a potential danger to immediately inform the site management in order to take action to remove the treat.

LEED certification

Did you know that at the time its construction started, the Riverview development was one of the first residential projects in Poland aspiring to receive LEED certification? We're happy to announce that the goal, which was GOLD level of the certificate, has been achieved.

  • 10% of materials (by value) used in the building are made of recycled materials;
  • More than 75% of solid waste leaving the site (by weight) was recycled;
  • All taps and flushing devices have been chosen according to LEED guidelines in order to consume less water;
  • During costruction the impact on the surrounding area was closely monitored to limit dusting and dirtying of the infrastructure;
  • 30% of the materials used in the building (by value) comes from production facilities located no more than 1000 km from the site, which limits exhaust gas emission from transport and supports local economy;
  • The finishing materials meet very strict requirements regarding harmful substance content (such as VOCs or urea formaldehudes) which directly translates to the residents' and tenants' health and well being.

Each day, the CFE team minimised the impact of construction on the surroundings, i.e. the works were performed in a manner which limits dust emission and noise around the site. Proper protection also had to be provided to trees in the development area; care was taken to not store any materials close to their root systems.

The recycling of liquid food cartons

According to the September survey carried out by Kantar for the ProKarton Foundation, compared to previous years, a much greater percentage of Poles segregate packaging waste. In 2019, it was 58% of respondents, while this year it is as much as 77%. It's a great result! This proves a significant increase in the level of knowledge on the recycling of liquid food cartons.

  • Liquid food packaging is excellent for recycling, as it is approximately 75% made of a fully renewable raw material (e.g. paper). The cellulose for the production of paper comes from wood raw material obtained from controlled sources.
  • Low weight, durability of the package and rectangular shape favor the storage space (storage outside the refrigerator before opening minimizes the energy needed for cooling).
  • Airtight structure. protects the food what minimizes food waste.

Recycling raw materials makes the most sense when they are segregated. Only in this way we give them new life.

Focusing on green energy

One of CFE main goals is sustainability and that's why we are focusing on green energy. On the office containers roof, on the construction of the Majaland Warsaw amusement park, we created space for solar panels. Off-grid photovoltaic installation doesn't send electricity to the network; surpluses are stored in batteries and a network energy is being used for higher demand. Installation allow us to reduce CO2 emission by about 1,4 t and it is the equivalent of nearly 65 trees. Together we go green !

CFE adopts bees!

In April, four bee families moved into the construction site of the Majaland theme park in Góraszka. It is hard to find a better place for them than with Maja the Bee!

I each hive at its peak, there are around 80,000 bees. It is well known that bees play a huge role in our ecosystem. According to information provided by Greenpeace, honey and wild bees are responsible for pollinating food plants, which account for over 1/3 of our daily diet.
